The God of All Powers



"In him, we have power, love, and a sound mind." - 2 Timothy 1:7


In a world filled with uncertainty and chaos, it's easy to feel powerless. But as believers, we have a hope that surpasses human understanding. We serve a God who is all-powerful, all-knowing, and always present.


_The God of All Powers_


Psalm 62:11 says, "Power belongs to God." This verse reminds us that our God is the source of all power, might, and strength. He is the one who:


- Created the universe with just a word (Genesis 1:3)

- Parted the Red Sea with a mere gesture (Exodus 14:21)

- Raised Jesus from the dead with His mighty power (Romans 8:11)

- Holds the keys to life and death (Revelation 1:18)


_Empowered by God_


As children of God, we have access to His power in our lives. Ephesians 3:20 says, "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us." This verse reminds us that God's power is not just something we admire from afar; it's a force that works within us, enabling us to:


- Live a life that honors Him (1 Corinthians 6:20)

- Overcome sin and temptation (Romans 8:13)

- Share the Gospel with boldness (Acts 4:31)

- Love others with His love (John 13:34)


_Living in His Power_


So how can we tap into God's power in our daily lives? Here are a few reminders:


- Pray boldly, knowing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20)

- Trust in His sovereignty, knowing that He is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28)

- Seek His strength in times of weakness, knowing that His power is made perfect in our vulnerability because he is the all sufficient God that knows it all. (2 Corinthians 12:9)

- Rest in His presence, knowing that He is our rock and our refuge (Psalm 46:1)


Conclusion


In a world that often leaves us feeling powerless, we have a God who is all-powerful. Especially during our marriage struggles, May we rest in His strength, trust in His sovereignty, and live in His power. Remember, "with God, all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26).


Prayer


Dear God, help me to remember that you are the God of all powers. Forgive me for the times I try to do things in my own strength. Empower me with your Spirit, that I may live a life that honors you and brings glory to your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.
